HISTORY
OF RELATIONS WITH OMAN
South Africa and Oman concluded diplomatic relations
in 1995. The South African Embassy in Oman was established
in November 2002. The Omani Government has reciprocated,
opening an Embassy in Pretoria in September 2003. The
Embassy is currently under the supervision of a Chargé
d'Affaires until an Ambassador is appointed.
AGREEMENTS
BETWEEN OMAN AND SOUTH AFRICA
The following Agreements have been signed between
South Africa and Oman:
- Agreement
on the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations.
- Convention
on the Avoidance of Double Taxation and the Prevention
of Fiscal Evasion with respect to Taxes on Income.
- Agreement
on Military Cooperation.
